The NFL has had a few surprises over the past four week, but the Carolina Panthers have gotten off to an impressive 3-1 start. Perhaps the league’s top runningback is out with injury and a new head coach. How does that translate to fantasy football
Based on how they performed in Week 4, these fantasy players saw their fantasy numbers increase or decrease.
Carolina Panthers QB Sam Darnold. Darnold broke the NFL record for rushing for five touchdowns within his first four games. In each of his games, he’s thrown for at least two-thirds or more of his passes and has thrown for five touchdowns. Additionally, the Panthers look favorable for the future.
QB Taylor Heinicke Washington Football Team. Heinicke is currently available in more fantasy leagues. Heinicke now has three weeks of solid fantasy numbers. His best day of season was in Atlanta. He passed for 290 yards and scored three touchdowns. With 43 yards of rushing, it was a triumphant day.
Baltimore Ravens, RB Latavius Murray Murray seems to be the leading back, even though Ty’Son Williams is inactive and Le’Veon Bell is still learning the offense.
Arizona Cardinals RB James Conner You should see Conner’s potential in an exciting offense like Arizona’s with four touchdowns in his last two weeks.
Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers WR: It’s hard for anyone to ignore Samuel’s accomplishments so far, regardless which quarterback they’re playing. Samuel has averaging more than 10 targets each game and has twice passed 150 receiving yards. He also scored two touchdowns in Sunday’s win over Seattle.
RB Myles Gaskin Miami Dolphins. Not only has the Dolphins abandoned Gaskin as a game plan player, but they also appear to be force feeding Malcolm Brown and Salvon Alam. Gaskin did not touch the ball twice for three yard against the Colts.
Los Angeles Rams, RB Sony Michel. Michel, after recording 20 carries as a starter Week 3, took a backseat as Darrell Henderson recovered from an injury. He recorded only three carries. He also lost a ball, which may have made him a target for coach Sean McVay.
WR CeeDee Lamb Dallas Cowboys. Lamb’s two catches for 13 yard is an act that has been disappearing. Lamb’s usage of the tight end Dalton Schultz has decreased Lamb’s usage. Lamb won’t be a reliable fantasy start anymore with Michael Gallup expected to return.
WR JuJu Smith Schuster Steelers. Diontae Johnson is the clear choice. Smith Schuster was only able to receive two targets against Green Bay and had eight receptions. It wasn’t all his fault though, as he was wide-open twice on Ben Roethlisberger’s passes.
Odell Beckham WR, Cleveland Browns. Beckham failed to catch two passes on eight targets at 27 yards, even with Jarvis Landry out of uniform. Beckham does not like the run-heavy attack of Cleveland, which is disappointing.
